hi, i'm Kendra Leigh
and I am a creator.
I am fueled by an intense passion for telling accurate and compelling stories through language and design to create real world change. I have a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and a BA in Justice Studies at Arizona State University's School of Social Transformation focused on advocating for victims of human trafficking and extreme poverty.
Currently, I am the Media Curator + Editor at Food for the Hungry and co-owner/director of operations for Wildleigh Vintage.
In my free time, I can usually be found writing, baking, studying Torah or making art.
Humanitarian & Journalist
I have worked as a marketing writer, a news journalist and a contributing reporter for organizations such as Food for the Hungry, the Arizona Republic, KJZZ (NPR) and The New York Times. Click here to find links to some of my journalistic work.
I began working toward the alleviation of human poverty in high school, when I partnered with several different mission organizations including Amor Ministries, 1Mission, Global Expeditions. I went on to work with All Across Africa during college doing social media work and helping with product design that would aid in income generation for women living in systemic poverty. I have been working with Food for the Hungry since Nov. 2014.
Artist & Baker
I enjoy many forms of art including woodworking, concrete casting, painting, drawing, logo and layout design, photography and baking. Let me bake for your wedding, birthday party or other social event. For all other forms of art, let's create together.
My best friend Taylor Leigh Moore and I started Wildleigh Vintage in 2016. We sell women's and men's vintage clothing items. Our goal is to provide well-made classic pieces in the most sustainable way. Click here to find out more.
